Claudia Andrade
Move More Community Engagement and Inclusion Officer
Role within Jersey Sport: To increase community engagement and access to sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities and minority groups within our island.
Previous employment before Jersey Sport: Claudia was a community coach for Sports Development since 2017 and then moved to Jersey Sport and worked on multiple programmes and sessions in Jersey Sport and Move More Jersey.
High level/ sports related qualifications: Claudia has a range of coaching qualifications including, Netball Level 1, Dodgeball Level 2, Level 5 Professional Diploma in soft tissue therapy and corrective exercises, Level 2 Personal Training. Claudia also has a first class honours degree in applied Sport Science, completed a MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology, Level 1 and 2 Makaton and is currently working on her Level 2 Netball Coaching Qualification.
Hobbies: Claudia enjoys playing and coaching netball and plays for the Accies Netball Club. Claudia also enjoys running and completed the Southampton Marathon in early 2022 and is working towards her next next long-distance challenge. Claudia also enjoys walks and especially along the stunning scenic cliff paths in Jersey and spending time with family and friends and taking part in challenges together, especially with her mum.
