Children’s Community Programmes Officer

Role within Jersey Sport: To plan and deliver high quality sports programmes in the Children and Community department. The programmes include holiday courses, Move More Toddler Play sessions, student placements and after school sessions in targeted areas. Dan looks after and line manages a number of staff who deliver within these areas.

Previous employment before Jersey Sport: Prior to his appointment with Jersey Sport, Dan was Sports Development Officer at the States of Jersey. Prior to that role he worked with Sports Development for five years as a community coach whilst studying for his sport Management Degree. He then took the role as Sport Development Officer in June 2016.

High level / sports related qualifications: Dan is a qualified Coach in football (Level 2), Cricket (level 2) and Squash (Level 1) Dan also completed his Chartered Management Institute (CMI) level 3 and level 5. Dan is a qualified designated Safeguarding Lead as well as being trained in Health and Safety (IOSH). Dan is also a Tutor and Internal Verifier for the Sports Leadership Programme, which he set up the programme in 2018.

Hobbies: In his spare time Dan enjoys his coaching role at St. Peters FC (Assistant First Team Manager) as well as helping the club out with various tasks such as grounds work. Dan enjoys playing Padel Tennis and Spinning sessions with colleagues.
