Marketing and Communications Manager
Role within Jersey Sport: As Marketing and Communications Manager, Jo’s role is to lead and deliver the marketing and communication strategies for Jersey Sport and Move More Jersey – to promote sport and physical activity within Jersey, and to help encourage more islanders to be more active, more often. This includes strategic planning and implementation, through to running the day-to-day marketing, communications and campaign activity across a wide range of online and offline channels.
Previous employment before Jersey Sport: Proud to be an islander, Jo worked at Jersey Tourism for eight years, before transferring to Visit Jersey – where she planned, projected-managed and delivered integrated marketing campaigns, to increase year-round visitors to Jersey.
Employment history: With over 20 years of experience in marketing and marketing communications, Jo has worked for a number of local organisations and has a keen interest in digital marketing.
High level qualifications: Jo has held CIM Chartered Marketer (MCIM) status for over 10 years, holds various Marketing and Digital Marketing qualifications, plus a BA (Hons) in Corporate Communication.
Hobbies: A lover of water and the great outdoors, Jo is a synchronised swimmer and coaches younger members of the Jersey Etaile Synchro Club voluntarily. Besides swimming, Jo also enjoys walking, keeping fit and taking photos in her spare time.
