Classes

Getting active can be difficult - let us help you make that first step! Our Move More Classes are friendly and sociable, held in local community venues across the island.

We have a range of classes for you to try including aquafit, core and stretch, exercise to music, gym circuits and gym based classes.

No gym membership is required – simply register with us and we’ll call you to discuss your requirements and get you booked into our classes.

Our professional Move More Instructors will give you a warm welcome and help you to take that step to improving your health and well-being!

VIEW CLASS TIMETABLE

Our classes, aimed at people who might need some encouragement to be physically active, are fun and sociable. The classes are friendly and supportive groups where exercises can be adapted to sit various fitness levels, so you can work at your own pace.

Before you attend your first class, you will need to register by downloading, completing and returning the application form below to us at: [email protected]. One of our Move More team will then be in touch to discuss the best class for you.

Activities Available

1. Move More Aquafit

An effective low-impact pool-based workout to improve your fitness without putting stress on your body.

Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years): £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to be submitted every 6 months)

Les Quennevais Swimming Pool

2. Move More Core and Stretch

A class that focuses on stretching your body and strengthening your core.

Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years): £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to be submitted every 6 months)

Trinity Youth Centre and upstairs in the Salvation Army Community Hall

3. Move More Exercise Class

An all-round, functional programme with a mixture of activities, cardio and strength work.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years): £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to submitted every 6 months)

Table Tennis Centre FB Fields, Trinity Youth Centre, Communicare St Brelade and upstairs in the Salvation Army Community Hall

4. Move More Gym Circuits

A mix of exercises using studio-based equipment and specialist gym equipment.

Monday and Wednesday evenings

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years): £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to be submitted every 6 months)

Oakfield Sports Centre

5. Move More Gym Class

An all-round gym-based fitness programme using specialist gym equipment under the supervision of Move More Instructors.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, plus Thursday evenings

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years) £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to be submitted every 6 months)

Springfield Sports Centre and Les Quennevais Sports Centre

6. Move More Mobility

This class involves both seated and standing body weight exercises, focusing on balance and strength.

Thursday afternoons

Adults: £5 per class, Seniors (over 65 years): £4 per class, Income Support: Free (evidence of a valid claim required - this needs to be submitted every 6 months)
